phenix-xml-helpers
Tiny shared NuGet library (Phenix.XmlHelpers) providing XML serialisation and XDocument parsing helper classes for Phenix services.
Health score
0 to 100 across seven weighted factors; nothing is hidden. Green is 75 and above, amber 50 to 74, red below 50. How scoring works.

Migration playbooks
Generated from this repo's assessment data: what is feasible, what blocks it, and the steps in order. Ratings: green means actionable now, amber means sequence other work first, red means blocked, grey means not applicable.
ZDD adoption
Not applicableNot a deployed service (libraries, database definitions, desktop apps) or a retirement candidate not worth the investment. Ships as a package; ZDD applies to the services that consume it.
SQL Server exit
Not applicableNo SQL Server dependency is recorded for this repo. Nothing to migrate.
Containerisation
Not applicableLibraries ship as packages, not as running services. There is nothing to containerise.
Recommended actions
Review phenix-xml-helpers for retirement
Dormant (last commit 2022-06-27) yet still release-linked, and nothing depends on it. Confirm remaining use, then retire and disarm its pipeline.
Impact: Shrinks the estate before the expensive work begins

phenix-xml-helpers
Purpose
Publishes the Phenix.XmlHelpers NuGet package: two static helper classes, SerialisationHelper (object-to-XML serialisation with optional namespace omission) and XDocumentHelper (XDocument parsing utilities) — 289 lines of code in total, consumed by other Phenix services that shuttle XML.
Tech stack
C# class library multi-targeting net462 and netstandard2.0, versioned 1.2.0 in the csproj with GeneratePackageOnBuild. StyleCop rulesets and shared Directory.Build.props/Custom.Build.props conventions; C# language version pinned to 7.3. The build pins .NET Core SDK 3.1.404 (long end-of-life).
Deployment
Included with 1 release via the phenix-xml-helpers release release pipeline, from phenix-xml-helpers and a deprecated build pipeline. YAML CI exists (build.yml) using shared InternalOSS/azure-pipelines-templates, publishing the NuGet package rather than deploying an app.
Dependencies
None — no internal or third-party package references at all; it uses only BCL XML types.
Data stores
None.
Integration points
None; a pure utility library with no network, database or messaging code.
Code health
No test project, no README. Dormant since 2022-06-27. Notably, Custom.Build.props still carries a copy-pasted RepositoryUrl pointing at tc-cache, confirming the repo was scaffolded from another library and never tidied. The code itself is small, stable and dependency-free.
Modernisation risks
Minimal: the helpers are self-contained BCL wrappers, so breakage risk is very low even though the repo is dormant and untested. The net462 target and .NET Core 3.1 build SDK pin are the only legacy ties; retargeting to modern .NET (or inlining the two classes into consumers and retiring the package) would be trivial whenever a consumer needs it.
